The commissioned Survibrant paintings are intuitively made, and involve slow, in depth pattern repetition studies, continuous color studies + observation of color theory. Allowing me to pull from my ever-expansive love of art + craft techniques. So even I won’t know what the finished piece will look like until I make it. But the art will have the general feel of the examples shown.

WHY?:

I started this project to help sustain my art practice throughout the year and to make my art more accessible. Many know I’m always working towards a sustainable art practice, which means in the way I make art, as well as grow & be in community with others. AND def includes financial sustainability. In exchange for paying a discounted price up front you will receive a “share” for an original Survibrant artwork, which you then receive in 2-4 months [or less]. Shares will be filled in the order they are received, so it is a possibility that you will have yours within a much shorter time. I will be in touch about timing and color choices within a week of your purchase.

More About The Survibrant SERIES

This artwork series began in 2020.

The Survibrant series is an ongoing mixed-media series dealing with survival, vibrancy & vibrations.  

(origin of the word is a re-mixed & re-contextualization, portmanteau, an AAE’d version of sur_vivant)

These detailed works, are a practice in mindful meditation for me, repetitive shapes that form rhythms to keep me present. Started in 2020, during the unprecedented times of the Covid-19 pandemic. As always, with my art, they are ever-evolving studies on color & pattern.

COMMISSIONS
